Overseas students wishing to study at a UK university may well partly make their choice based on cost.

The Southampton Solent University
The campus is located at the heart of Southampton city centre, and the university offers a wide range of courses. Southampton welcomes overseas students and actively encourages and supports international applications to study at the university.
Southampton is a large port city on the south coast of England and enjoys a mild climate. Nearby is the New Forest National Park, and the smaller famous yachting town of Lymington is not too far away. Southampton has excellent transport links, a vibrant nightlife and student culture as well as history and plenty of contemporary pursuits to explore.
The University of West London
This is the perfect choice for those set on studying in the capital. The University of West London enjoys a modern campus in London with facilities across three locations. The West London campus is situated close to green parks. It has quick underground access to central London and all that it has to offer. There are choices of student accommodation with free transport to the main campus. The Reading campus is less than 30 minutes from central London and is within easy reach of the town with its cinemas and restaurants. The university has links with local accommodation providers should your chosen course be based at the Reading site.
Not only does UWL come out as one of the lower cost universities for overseas students, but it is also voted the best university in London.
London is the capital city of the United Kingdom and has everything you will need. There is history, heritage, shopping, nightlife, parks and excellent transport links to other areas of the UK.
The University of Chester
Probably the cheapest university for overseas students, Chester is in a fantastic location in the North West of England close to the border with Wales. The university has 80 societies and is consistently highly rated within the top 10 universities in the UK and the Times Newspaper Good University 2020 Guide rate Chester as the top for computer science and within the top 3 or top 5 for many other subjects. Chester was awarded the second most student-friendly city of 2019. The university offers guaranteed accommodation to new international students.
As well as being a great place for students and having a fabulous university, Chester is a world-famous British Heritage City. The beautiful historic walled city is conveniently located to visit Liverpool and Blackpool or to explore the beautiful countryside and north coast of Wales.
Cumbria is a relatively young university, but don’t let that put you off. Cumbria University is spread across five small and friendly campuses in pleasant locations four across the county of Cumbria, the famous Lake District of England and one in London. The smaller locations of these campuses are more homely for a lot of students not used to the hustle and bustle of a big city and are reassuringly safe and homely. Accommodation is guaranteed for first-year international students and the university his highly rated by students with many scoring it at 100%.
The main campuses are based in Carlisle an historic city not far from Hadrian’s Wall and has excellent leisure facilities. Lancaster is another historic city, and Ambleside is at the head of the famous Windermere Lake.
