The university has 80 societies and is consistently highly rated within the top 10 universities in the UK and the Times Newspaper Good University 2020 Guide rate Chester as the top for computer science and within the top 3 or top 5 for many other subjects. As well as being a great place for students and having a fabulous university, Chester is a world-famous British Heritage City. The beautiful historic walled city is conveniently located to visit Liverpool and Blackpool or to explore the beautiful countryside and north coast of Wales.
Cumbria University
Cumbria is a relatively young university, but don’t let that put you off. Cumbria University is spread across five small and friendly campuses in pleasant locations four across the county of Cumbria, the famous Lake District of England and one in London. The smaller locations of these campuses are more homely for a lot of students not used to the hustle and bustle of a big city and are reassuringly safe and homely. Accommodation is guaranteed for first-year international students and the university his highly rated by students with many scoring it at 100%.
